TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF USE
The general rules governing use of the WSWA platform, member accounts and associated services.
This document is published in French as required by French law for an association governed by loi du 1er juillet 1901. An unofficial English summary is provided below key sections. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.

1. Purpose and acceptance
This section explains why these Terms exist and when they apply.
These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the wswa.world platform, operated by the World Streak Walking Association (WSWA), a French non-profit association (law of 1 July 1901), RNA W941021114.
Registration on the platform constitutes full acceptance of these Terms. If you do not accept them, you may not use the services.

2. Service description
This section lists what WSWA provides in practice.
- Daily walking streak tracking and validation (Streaker mode)
- Flexible walking tracking without daily continuity (Walker mode)
- Official WSWA certifications (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Legend) — Streaker mode only
- Badges and community progression footprints
- Listing in the WSWA World Registry
All member features are free. You can support the project on the Support us page.
3. Registration and member account
To create an account, you must provide accurate and complete information. One person may hold only one active account.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity performed from your account.
4. Rules of use
You agree to:
- Declare only real walks — for streaks, at least one outing of 3.2 km on foot per civil day (several outings can be summed, each must individually reach 3.2 km)
- Not falsify distances or activity data
- Respect other community members
- Not bypass platform security systems
- Not use WSWA for unauthorized commercial or advertising purposes
Any breach may result in suspension or deletion of your account.
5. Certifications
WSWA certifications are issued automatically when the criteria set in the Certification Rules are met.
Certifications already obtained remain permanently acquired, even if the streak stops later.
5b. Badges and footprints
Badges and footprints are community progression indicators and rankings. They are not money, financial rights, or claims against WSWA, and are not transferable.
6. Access and donations
Access to WSWA is entirely free. All platform features are available to all registered members. Optional donations are accepted via the Support us page.
Donation payments are processed securely by Stripe. WSWA does not store card details.
7. Intellectual property
All platform content (texts, visuals, logos, certifications, design) is the exclusive property of WSWA and protected by copyright law.
8. Limitation of liability
WSWA strives to keep the platform available but does not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Walking is performed under each member's own responsibility. WSWA cannot be held liable for accidents, injuries or health issues related to physical activity.
9. Account termination
You may request account deletion at any time via [email protected].
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls under the competent courts of WSWA's registered office jurisdiction.
